Our mission is to support local Moses Lake, WA non-profits and help them fulfill their missions. We do this in a number of ways, typically by request we can help them promote their needs & missions as well as solicit the community for much needed items for their clients. If you are a non-profit in need of something in particular, send us a request and we’ll see how we might help you. Got something to donate but not sure of the next steps? Send us a message, we may be able to point you in the right direction. We want to promote giving back to our community, however you can, we’ll make our community a better place to live.

This program started as the result of a public request for lunches for those in need from Serve Moses Lake. Since January 3, 2017 we’ve been meeting weekly to make sack lunches, soliciting donations and gathering with volunteers to make it all happen. It is with community support we’re able to provide up to 100+/- sack lunches every week to those that need a simple meal of a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, chips, granola bar and applesauce. Care Sack lunches are distributed by Jacob’s Well Outreach, The Community Services (our local food bank) and the Big Bend Community College Viking Food Pantry.

Help support New Hope/Kids Hope by donating to the Care Snacks program. We’re supplying snacks to help feed families and kids who are using New Hope/Kids Hope services due to domestic violence circumstances. We’ve also been able to supply food & supplies to Youth Dynamics and the Boys & Girls Club ($1000+ worth of food is donated annually to feed kids over Spring Break). During the summer months we commit to making 6,750 Care Snack bags to the Boys & Girls Club to feed kids during their summer program. During the school year we provide 160 Care Snack bags to Communities in Schools to feed local children.

In 2021 we made a roasting pan of hot soup for the Open Doors Sleeping Center run by Hope Source twice weekly. We provided them with a hot meal twice weekly. All soup was made from scratch and delivered along with supplies of bowls, spoons & crackers. This program ended with the closure of the Sleep Center in June of 2025.

Because of generous donors we had the opportunity to provide much needed supplies to the following organizations: Open Doors Sleeping Center, Youth Dynamics, Community & Family Services (foster kids), Soroptimist International Moses Lake and Columbia Basin Allied Arts. Care Packs are customized per event and organization.

In 2022 we held a Care Fair where we invited local non-profits to set up a fair where the community could come learn more about them. What resulted from that event was the 24 non-profits networking with each other. By working together we’ll be able to support each other and make our community everything it can be. We meet monthly to share, learn and grow. Care Moses Lake gives out a $100 financial prize at these monthly events, even a little money can go a long way for a non-profit. Meetings for local non-profits are held every 1st Thursday at the Downtown Moses Lake Association office, 205 S. Division Street. If you’re involved with a Moses Lake non-profit please join us!

We provide clothing vouchers to local non-profits to give to their clients in need. These vouchers are redeemable at our local Senior Center Thrift Store, another local non-profit. Care Moses Lake pays for the vouchers redeemed for clothing.

Care-ing Bears are the cutest, softest red teddy bear you’ll find. For every bear we sell we give one away to a local child. Bears have been donated to: the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation, Moses Lake Police Department, Moses Lake Fire District #5 and the Grant County Sheriff’s office.

Every holiday season we partner with local non-profits, the community and business locations and put up Giving Trees. The trees are filled with tags of needed/wanted gifts by local children. The gifts are picked up and delivered to the non-profits for distribution to children in need of a holiday gift.
