Hi, my name is Bella Hernandez, and I’m passionate about helping provide food for kids in my community. No child should ever have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Too many kids and teens face hunger every day—something no young person should experience. We’re often told that food helps us grow, learn, and stay strong, yet not everyone has that basic privilege. Seeing how many students rely on support programs has inspired me to take action and be part of something bigger than myself. My goal is to help build a reliable and caring support system that ensures kids have consistent access to meals—not just once in a while, but every day. By expanding this effort into monthly food bags, I hope to create a lasting impact and bring our community together to support those in need.
I’m excited to partner with Care Moses Lake and the Moses Lake Community Coalition for a food drive to collect snack food items to assemble Care Snack bags to FEED LOCAL KIDS in need. These bags will be donated to Communities in Schools (during the school year) and to the Boys & Girls Club (during the summer months). This is an on-going program that we hope will expand into monthly food bags.
